The food is Great and the prices are great if you don't mind being ignored when you walk in by the waitstaff until someone is actually up front to help you! So you will definitely be ignored until then 🤷‍♀️ we just walked out one time just because of that reason after waiting for a while but other than that no other complaint I would prefer to spend and tip elsewhere. We've been 3 times since it's opened and the only time.
STOP AND COME HERE. Amazing food and service it is only a 5 minute drive off of I -20 just call ahead and pick it up through the drive through you don’t even have to get out of your car. What else could you ask for. These are authentic tacos with various salsas with just the right amount of kick. This is the only place I’ll ever go to in this area.
Will not find better flavor or portions for the price anywhere. They are new and still trying to accommodate people and so many left due to wait and seating. Well worth waiting and grateful to see a new business doing so wonderful! The fajitas were great and chicken enchiladas too. The price!🙌🏻
Yummy food and great service! Our waitress was amazing and service was quick. The food is SO good. The fried stuffed avocado with asada and cheese, cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, birria, rice, refried beans and sopapillas are all AMAZING. Generous portions at a great price. Will definitely be coming back to try more things! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I tried this place two times. I will review my second time, breakfast. The only good thing they offer is excellent service from the waitress, good quality corn tortillas, and tasty green/red sauces. The breakfast plates are overpriced; we ordered two scrambled eggs and a barbacoa plate, and our total was $31. The Barbacoa was super greasy and flavorless (I left half of the plate since it was only fat.) That is not how Barbacoa is done. I mentioned it to the cashier, who happened to be the manager, and his perfunctory response left me with a bad taste in my mouth; at least, that had more flavor than their Barbacoa.
The food here is absolutely delicious! I had the chicken, shrimp and chorizo fajitas inside a halved pineapple and my wife had the sour cream chicken enchiladas. They serve their chips and salsa with a white sauce (kinda like a spicy ranch) and the salsa was excellent. The lemonade was a cool, refreshing agua fresca and the server was very sweet. We will be back.
This is a place with a lot if potential. While some things are done really well others fall short.
First visit, I enjoyed the chips and salsa promptly delivered to the table. Very tasty salsa with a good kick. I chose something I wouldn’t normally choose to try and live “out of the box” for a change” I went with the Aguachille. It was a mistake. This reads on the menu as shrimp marinated and cooked in lime juice. Well it was shrimp, marinated and cooked…no. The shrimp was refrigerator cold and raw as can be. I eat a ton of seafood and this was completely raw. I didn’t eat any after the first piece and took it home to sit over night in the fridge to cook like it’s supposed to. The saving grace was the guacamole, it was very good and a big portion so I didn’t leave hungry.
The second visit I tried the Texas Plate with Chicken enchiladas. The Carne Guisada is decent and the enchiladas were some of the best I have had in Abilene. The tortillas were not home made, which is disappointing but they were ok. The beans and rice both had good flavor.
A few tweaks and this place will be a gem.
Delicious entrées, friendly, fast servers. Moca Jete, Carne Guisade, Enchiladas on point!! The only negative is the limited size of seating & potential wait. Observed two parties of two leave before being called.
